Neagu M. Djuvara

 

Neagu M. Djuvara (born in Bucharest, 1916) is a former associate-professor to the University of Bucharest, Ph D and LLD from Paris, and graduate from the Institut National des Langues et Civilisations Orientales. He was a diplomatist in the Royal Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Self-exiled during the communist régime in Romania, he has been Diplomatic Adviser to the Government of the Republic of Niger from 1961 to 1984. He is the author of several books in History, Philosophy of History and memorialistics, both in French and Romanian. Three times laureate of the Académie Française.
