The ultimate guide to vampires and their love life by John Bolton and Katherine Quénot

The ultimate guide to vampires and their love life by John Bolton and Katherine Quénot

Illustrated by the true master of gothic fantasy John Bolton, this is a quivering promenade in the world of vampires.

Punctuated by literary references attesting the strength of the myth, the book is packed with fascinating information and scary stories.

The famous vampire kiss: the embracing of Eros and Thanatos.

Lilith: the 4,000 years old ancestor of all female vampires and a character well known to literature since the 18th Century, a time that saw an influx of vampire superstition in Western Europe.

The dhampire: child of a vampire father and a human mother, a creature unusually adept at killing and detecting vampires...

This book features many such fascinating entries, including a tip to become a vampire by reading The Book of the Sacred Magic of Abramelin the Mage, or, on the contrary, anti-vampire rituals.
